Is the Rumpl blanket the best travel blanket ever?

The story behind the innovation of Rumpl blankets makes a whole lot of sense when you hear it. I'm surprised no one has come up with this idea soon.

Not only are these superior blankets that are suited to travel, or lounging around the house on cold evenings, the best part is, Rumpl are doing their bit to help the environment.

The Story Behind the Innovation

While on a surf and ski trip moving around California and sleeping in their van, the founders of Rumpl were unable to start the vehicle one morning, in sub-zero temperatures.

As they were on the road less travelled and well of cell phone reception, they had to wait it out for someone to come along to give them a hand. In order to keep warm while waiting, they bundled themselves into their sleeping bags.

Now all snug and cozy in the sleeping bags, they realized how much nicer the materials felt and how these kept them far warmer than what they had on their beds back home.

This gave them the inspiration to create a “sleeping bag blanket” and the rest as they say, is history.

Rumpl Blanket Designs

* When washing, it's recommended you use a front loading washing machine on a warm setting. It can then be hung out to dry or tossed into the dryer on a Tumble Low or No-Heat setting.

Rumpl also recommend washing in Granger’s Performance Wash for the best cleaning and re-energizing of the DWR and water resistance.
